• Season 2010 officially opened in Amsterdam

  This weekend was relatively nice weather in Amsterdam, so me and my family we decided to open the 2010 spotters season officially this weekend. We made two relatively short sessions on Saturday and Sunday as Jennifer also had to work and Junior was still freezing cold in the Amsterdam Westwards wind. Anyway, I made some nice shots again and was able to experiment with high shutter times this weekend. As this weekend also was a "Runway 27 weekend"we were able to use the unofficial spotter... • Spotting in Rome Fiumicino (FCO/LIRF)

  While our vacation last weke in Rome (Italy), we were not only visiting the city for airplane spotting, we found through good planning and a bit of luck some time to get to Fiumicino AIrport before we departed back to Amsterdam the following day. Wir waren zwar nicht 5 Tage zum Spotten geflogen, die Prioritaet 1 lag bei der Stadt an sich, aber durch ein gut geplantes Programm haben wir es dann doch noch geschafft, am Donnerstag Mittag noch einen Abstecher nach Fiumicino (35km ausserhalb der Stadt... • Ein "Sonntag" im Fruehjahr auf Schiphol

  heute bei kraeftigem Westwind habe ich einmal den offiziellen Spottersplekken an der 27 ausprobiert, ich wohne nun zwar schon seit fast 1 Jahr hier in Amsterdam, aber wir sind bisher noch die dazu gekommen. Der Nachteil am Spot an der 27 ist der Fakt, das man (fast) den ganzen Tag gegens Licht seine Bilder machen muss :( Ich hatte dann aber trotzdem noch ein bisschen Glueck da der Trafficpeak am Sonntag die ATC dazu verleitet hat, 4 departures ueber die 27 starten zu lassen und da war dann der Spot...
